baitcasting reel help

I bought a new shimano baitcasting reel, i am use to spinning reels I can't get my rapala lure out far enough without having a birds nest in my reel everytime

I am new to these new brake and clutching systems.

Any tips on how to cast my lure without this trouble, any help would be appreciated
